Traffic alert

OGDENSBURG — The police are advising motorists that a portion of County Route 517 will be paved Thursday, Oct. 22 beginning in Franklin at 7 a.m. and ending around 4 p.m. This paving project will continue southbound into Ogdensburg and end in Sparta at the Sparta Junction. Paving should begin in Sparta Township on Monday, Oct. 26 and the project is scheduled to end on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Motorists using this roadway should expect lengthy delays due to alternating traffic. Motorists are also asked to plan alternate routes of travel during these days.
