Vernon couple urges vote for Vichiconti
Mary Ellen Vichiconti would be a wonderful addition to the Vernon Township Council come this November. A breath of fresh air, a new hope, Mary Ellen loves her family, loves her neighborhood and loves her town. A township resident since 1993, she is concerned about excess spending and keeping municipal taxes down. She is also concerned about the astronomical township debt. She is a practical person who would eliminate excess and unnecessary spending. Unlike the game of “Monopoly,” Mary Ellen’s ideas are not to save Vernon by building more hotels. Repainting traffic lights and developing “streetscapes” aren’t on her agenda at the moment. Everyone wants a beautiful town, but not at the expense of the people. At a recent council meeting, Mary Ellen brought a toy fire engine to remind the mayor and council that the fire department is in desperate need of a new fire truck. That’s a priority for all of us, don’t you think? Get real, get honest. Vote for Mary Ellen Vichiconti. We need her now. Chris and Dave Jansson Vernon
