Vernon PBA fundraiser benefits local teen
On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Vernon Township PBA Local 285 held its annual beefsteak fundraiser at the Mountain Creek Resort North Lodge. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of our supporters and everyone in attendance who helped make this year another successful fundraiser. As done in years past, the Vernon PBA selects a child/teenager from Vernon Township who is disabled or has an illness to receive a portion of the proceeds from the event. This year the Vernon PBA raised $1,300 for a 14-year-old year girl, Micayla Wynn, who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Anyone interested in making donations to the family can do so by mailing checks to: The Micayla Wynn Leukemia Trust Fund, 6 Summit Circle, Sussex, 07461. Shaun Fitzgerald, Vernon PBA president
