    On April 3 at about 6:20 p.m., while parked in the entrance/exit of the Mountain Creek South ski resort parking lot Patrolman Shaun Fitzgerald observed a red 2001 Pontiac Sunbird traveling north on Route 94. Patrolman Fitzgerald recognized the driver, Dale E. Taylor, 41, of Vernon, and knew that his driving privileges were currently suspended. He stopped the car inside the Stonehill condos, off Route 94. While speaking with Taylor, Fitzgerald noticed a 30 pack of beer inside the vehicle with one can open. Further investigation at the scene resulted in Taylor’s arrest for driving while intoxicated. His car was towed from the scene and held for 12 hours to satisfy the requirements of John’s Law. At Vernon Police headquarters, Taylor was charged with: Driving while intoxicated; refusal to submit to chemical breath testings; failure to keep right; failure to pull over and yield to an emergency vehicle; no liability insurance; careless driving; driving with a suspended license; possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle; failure to keep right. Taylor was processed and released to a friend pending an appearance in Vernon municipal court.
