Vernon void of vaccine

VERNON-Township health officials have canceled their Oct. 19 flu clinic after leaning that they will not receive vaccine. The New Jersey state contract for flu vaccine purchase was awarded to FFF Enterprises, the distributor for Chiron Flu Vaccine. Vernon Township Health Department arranged to purchase vaccine for its clinic through the state. Officials were notified last week that no vaccine is available. The Vernon Township Health Department is working to find another flu vaccine distributor. Until one can be found, the scheduled flu clinic has been canceled. Officials said they will pass on new information as it becomes available.
