Wantage — Wantage Township Recreation Commission will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking on April 4 to kick off construction of the Veterans Memorial Project at Woodbourne Park. The project was spearheaded by Recreation Commission member Greg Williams, and the commissioners have continued to hold fundraising events to gather community support for the construction of the memorial. “The project was recently given a big boost from Miles Kuperus of Farmside Landscape and Design, who is volunteering his services to design and construct the landscaping portion of this project,” said Williams. Wantage Mayor Parker Space took the opportunity to point up how the community has gotten behind the project. “This is just one more fine example of the excellent volunteerism we enjoy here in Wantage Township,” he said.
