Wine tasting winners at Lafayette Mill

Lafayette — Lafayette Center was bustling with activity on a recent weekend as customers enjoyed a wine tasting event put on by Lafayette Mill Antiques Center and George’s Wine and Spirits of Branchville. George and Frances Delgado presented samplings of specially selected wines and cheese, and discussed their relative attributes. George, formerly the sommelier at Windows on the World in New York City, is well-known for his ability to search out unique and unusual offerings in the wine world. Four drawings each afternoon provided lucky participants with a bottle of wine and a Mill gift certificate. Among the winners were: Jim Owens of Sussex, Ken Fuchs of Wantage, Jana McPhail of Newton and Lowell and Rose Carhart of Sparta.
