Vernon faces many challenges, yet has every reason to be the shining star of Sussex County. I support Dr. Howard Burrell for Vernon’s next mayor because he has a deep background of government experience. He has served on Vernon’s B.O.E., Vernon’s council, and as a Sussex County freeholder. Dr. Burrell is highly educated and very adept in handling matters in the professional manner in which Vernon so sorely needs. His degree in business administration is the appropriate expertise needed for the mayor in our new form of government.
Dr. Burrell’s life time of achievements, business acumen, and history of working with others towards positive results is what makes him the best candidate for mayor at this time. We may not agree on all issues, but his willingness to respect others’ opinions and collect all pertinent information in decision making will result in successes for Vernon.
Instead of complaining of the negatives and blaming others, he will go to work for us to produce positive results for residents and taxpayers, as he has done for so many of his other endeavors. He will not partake in rhetoric and I believe he has the skill to bring harmony to our town and move Vernon forward.
I ask you to cast your vote for Howard Burrell on Nov. 5.
