Cultural Day a great success

For the past five years, the Vernon PAL Youth Leadership Council which is comprised of students in grades seven through 12 plan and execute a Cultural Day event. This year's event was successful due to the dedication and commitment of the wonderful students who comprise the Youth Leadership Council and the Peer Leaders provided through Mrs. Belli. We would like to thank all the parents and children who came to the PAL building on April 25th and participated in the free community event.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the local businesses who made food donations for the annual event and gave us a taste from around the world. Thanks to Milano's, Irish Cottage Inn, Smokey's, Vernon Inn, George Inn, Pizza Pros, Paesano Pizza, Holland American Bakery, Cravin Thai and Pochuck Valley Farm. With the generous donations of the local businesses we are able to provide a world of exquisite cuisine.

Thank you to Mrs. Haddeland and Mrs. McKay for their cooking demonstrations and serving up some very tasty treats.

If you have never participated in the Vernon PAL Youth Leadership Council's Cultural Day event, you are missing out on many tasty treats and crafts from around the world. Be sure to be on the lookout next spring for this annual event. Thank you to everyone who make our youth shine.
