DOT betrayed taxpayers' trust

Instead of reading "Sussex Inn pays $119K debt to borough", the correct headline should read "Sussex Taxpayers paid $500K+ to enrich the Sussex Inn". The DOT has no money of its own, it receives funds from the taxes that are paid by us. The DOT has betrayed the trust we placed in it for paying more than half a million dollars of hard earned money for 10' of dirt. Where is the oversight? Where are our elected officials?
