Hard-line Republican conservatives at odds

In a recent column of his, Conservative Republican syndicated columnist, George Will, referred to President Donald Trump as a "Vesuvius of Mendacities" (literal translation, a spewing mountain of lies). He has further instructed his readers NOT to vote Republican. In the same vein, Steve Schmidt,campaign strategist for the Republican campaigns of George W. Bush, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and senior campaign strategist and advisor to Senator John McCain for his presidential run, has quit the Republican Party over Trump policies. Is there a message to be found here?
