Ah, The Peace offered by a good night’s sleep,
To escape the daily woes causing us to weep.
Yes, weep rather than cry out in anguish and pain.
Of our global inhumanity insane.
The overwhelming evil we see and hear,
For the Spiritual so difficult to bear.
The homeless with shopping carts and people starving,
Filthy drinking water and muddy dirt housing.
Distressed climate and rampant prejudice,
A Planet of the Apes metamorphosis.
So, escape we must this adversity,
And cry out for love of all humanity.
