Artimus Pyle Band to honor Lynyrd Skynyrd at Newton Theatre
Music. The Artimus Pyle Band, featuring the last surviving member and drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic lineup, will honor the legendary Southern rock band at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St.
Friday, Oct. 16
Start your weekend at 6 p.m. at the Lafayette House, 75 Route 15, with a solo set by Sue Polcer, or catch Mark Coultier at McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 165 Andover Sparta Rd.
Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden, 447 NJ-284, brings back Dave & John Acoustic for upbeat tunes at 7 p.m., while Sluggo delivers rock ’n’ roll to Brick & Brew, 27 Route 23.
At 8 p.m., Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, hosts Evan Khay, a versatile Honolulu-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer, who plays a variety of genres from country to funk. Or hear Rene Avilla at the Sparta Pour House, 43 Center St.
Saturday, Oct. 17
Jake Roggenkamp kicks off the morning with an acoustic set at 10 a.m. at the Sparta Farmers Market, 89 S. Sparta.
Darren Rist takes the stage at The Lafayette House at 6 p.m. for an acoustic set of his own.
At 7 p.m., Mike and the Volcanics bring their blend of classic rock and ’90s grunge to Milk Street Distillery, 1 Milk St. Expect to hear favorites from Zeppelin, Journey, Soundgarden, Jane’s Addiction, and more!
At the same time, John Murphy performs at McQ’s Pub, while One Size Fits All plays cover rock songs at Brick & Brew.
Closing the night at 8 p.m., the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St., hosts the Artimus Pyle Band. APB features Artimus Pyle, the last surviving member and drummer of the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd lineup, as the group honors the music of the legendary band. Tickets are available at skypac.org.

Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden welcomes Two Rivers Cross for an afternoon set at 2 p.m., featuring classic rock, folk, indie, and soul sounds.
