Pink Talking Fish headlines packed week of live music
Music. A busy week of area performances includes southern rock, tribute shows, acoustic sets and a Sunday night appearance by Pink Talking Fish at the Newton Theatre.
Friday, April 10
Start your evening at 6 p.m. with a set by Ciro Patti at the Lafayette House, 75 Route 15. At 6:30 p.m., Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden, 447 NJ-284, welcomes Marshall’s Law Band to their stage playing the best of southern rock ‘n’ roll, including Marshall Tucker, Greg Allman, the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, and more.
Gerry Arias brings his solo set to McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 165 Andover Sparta Rd., at 7 p.m.
At 8 p.m., Grungefest: A Tribute to Pearl Jam & Chris Cornell headlines the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St. The Ledbetters bring the best of Pearl Jam, while Superunknown delivers a special tribute to the late Chris Cornell. Tickets can be purchased at skypac.org.
Also kicking off at 8 p.m., Six String Stories featuring Dez Kozman and Ethan Bartlett draws on their 25 years of combined performance experience at Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, while Steve Coombs takes his acoustic tunes to the Sparta Pour House, 43 Center St.
Saturday, April 11
Scott Heath kicks off the afternoon at 4 p.m. with a set of electric rock at Angry Erik Brewing, 2 Camre Dr.
EZ Pete stops by the Lafayette House for a 6 p.m. set, while Skyward Fall delivers a show of cover tunes at Skylands starting at 6:30 p.m.
Multi-instrumentalist and multi-genre artist Sean Henry blends rock, blues, folk, and punk into his Sean Henry Tonight Trio with a performance at 7 p.m. at Milk Street Distillery, 1 Milk St.
At the same time, One Size Fits All rocks out at Brick & Brew, 27 Route 23, and Rob Brock performs at McQ’s Pub.
The Newton Theatre hosts Home Again: A Tribute to Carole King starting at 8 p.m. Get ready to sing along to a night of hits by the multi-award-winning songwriter. Tickets can be purchased at skypac.org.
Closing out the night is John Pabst, bringing acoustic rock and pop from the ‘80s to now at O’Reilly’s, 271 Spring St., at 9 p.m.
Sunday, April 12
Skylands starts the afternoon with Cross Island Sounds’ country tunes at 2 p.m., while Brian St. John delivers acoustic rock and alternative tunes to Angry Erik Brewing.
At 7 p.m., the Newton Theatre welcomes Pink Talking Fish, a tribute act blending the sounds of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish for a captivating night of jams. Tickets can be purchased at skypac.org.
Wednesday, April 15
Danny C’s Wednesday night concert series at Blue Arrow Farm, 86 Glenwood Rd., kicks off at 4 p.m. with the debut appearance of The Cruzadors, plus enjoy the fun of Customer Appreciation Night!
At 6:30 p.m., Ray Sikora hosts his popular karaoke night at the Homestead Rest, 294 N. Church Road.
Thursday, April 16
Felix and the Cats are back at Blue Arrow for a 6 p.m. set of hits.
Krogh’s welcomes Bronwen Fair & Noah G. Fowler of The Traveling Teardrops for a nostalgic set of folk, Americana, and originals starting at 6:30 p.m.
