Performances to feed nostalgia

Music fans will find their favorite eras as well as their favorite styles among the live performances this week.

Friday, April 19

Singer-songwriter Erika Sherger takes the stage at 6 p.m. at Lafayette House, 75 Route 15.

Mark Coulter performs at McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 165 Andover Sparta Road, Newton, also at 6 p.m.

Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden, 447 Route 284, Wantage, offers the harmonious melodies of Dave & John Acoustic starting at 6:30 p.m.

Simultaneously, the DeLear Brothers, featuring frontman Ray DeLear, will play folk, traditional Irish and original tunes at Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta.

Milk Street Distillery, 1 Milk St., Branchville invites music enthusiasts to jam out to the best vinyl at Paul Derin’s Booze & Grooves night at 7 p.m.

Brick & Brew, 27 Route 23, Franklin, welcomes the Ron Ossi Duo, also at 7 p.m.

To step back in time to the swing era, visit the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St., for “Jukebox Saturday Night” at 8 p.m. The musical extravaganza features the greatest hits recorded by iconic artists such as Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, and Duke Ellington. End the night at O’Reilly’s Pub & Grill, 271 Spring St., Newton, where you can take center stage during the karaoke night starting at 9 p.m.

Saturday, April 20

The music kicks off at 4 p.m. with Mauro Melleno’s folk and light rock tunes at Angry Erik Brewing, 2 Camre Drive, Newton.

At 6 p.m., Lafayette House invites guests to enjoy the enchanting vocals of Nina Peterson.

The Gratefulmen take the stage at the Stanhope House, 45 Main St., in a tribute to the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

For those with ’90s nostalgia, the members room at the Lake Mohawk Country Club, 21 The Boardwalk, Sparta, transforms into a grunge haven as Flannel Jam takes over at 7 p.m.

McQ’s Pub invites patrons to join Cat Treats for a 4/20 Party, Brick & Brew welcomes the acoustic medleys of Kobi & Al, and Milk Street Distillery hosts the Sons of Hudson Band, all starting at 7 p.m.

At 9 p.m., classic rock enthusiasts may head over to the Beacon, 453 River Styx Road, Hopatcong, where Nobody Famous will deliver a performance that pays homage to the genre’s timeless classics.

At O’Reilly’s, Shane Casey & Honey Super will deliver a blend of covers and originals starting at 9 p.m.

Sunday, April 21

Angry Erik Brewing hosts an afternoon of soul, R&B, folk and blues as Jeiris Cook performs at 2:30 p.m.

At 3 p.m., the Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden welcomes the Crosstown Shuttle duo and their melodic harmonies.

Wednesday, April 24

McQ’s Pub invites patrons to join Sean Henry for another night of fun at 5 p.m.

Or head to Danny C’s Wednesday Concert Series at Blue Arrow Farm, 86 Glenwood Road, Pine Island, N.Y. At 5 p.m., Iron Cobra takes the stage, offering a high-energy performance filled with the best of arena rock and more.

For those looking to take center stage, the Homestead Rest, 294 N. Church Road, Sparta, invites guests to join Ray Sikora for karaoke at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 25

The Homestead Rest hosts its acoustic open mic night at 6 p.m. Sign-ups start at 5:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m., Ken Flood brings his musical talents to the Glenwood, 2 Vernon Crossing Road, Vernon.

Brick & Brew presents JP’s Anything Goes Night, also at 7 p.m. Featuring open mic, karaoke or solo performances by JP, this event also offers a chance for guests to shine.

For those looking to test their musical knowledge, O’Reilly’s hosts music bingo at 8 p.m.

At 9 p.m., Krogh’s becomes the ultimate destination for a night of jazz, rock and drums with Rachel Z & Omar Hakim featuring Jonathan Toscano. They are celebrating the release of Rachel Z’s newest album, “Sensual.” Their fusion of talent and energy promises to leave audiences spellbound.
