Barbara Lee Rowe

Barbara Lee Rowe (nee Schroeder), of Franklin, N.J., passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at The Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Frankford Township, N.J. She was 82.

Born to Fred and Henrietta Schroeder in Jersey City, N.J., she had lived in East Rutherford, N.J., and Clifton, N.J., before moving to Franklin 50 years ago.

Barbara worked as a seamstress for Morley Shirt Factory in Franklin for many years, retiring in 1995. She took great joy in sewing, painting, gardening, shopping, dancing, talking, trips to the Jersey Shore, good times with family and friends, and Christmas time. Her love and pride for her family and grandchildren gave her the most joy.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Keith B. Rowe, in 2017.

She is the devoted mother of Kim Walsh and her husband, Robert, of Wantage Township, N.J.; loving grandmother of Shanon, Bryan, Bevin, and Meghan; and dear sister of Fred Schroeder of Lake Shawnee, N.J.

Private burial was held at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Township, N.J., under the direction of F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to the Vernon Veterans of America, Lodge 1002 (vva1002.org) or to a favorite animal shelter would be greatly appreciated.
