Catherine Sabo

Catherine Sabo of Franklin, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at her home. She was 62.

Born in Franklin to the late Adam and Catherine (Piniaha) Sabo, Catherine was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Franklin High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from the Iowa Wesleyan University. She also participated in the Franklin Marching Band for many years. She worked for more than 20 years as an appeals examiner for the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Predeceased by her parents, Catherine is survived by her siblings, Barbara and husband, Dayton Gunderman of Franklin, Chris and wife, Bernadette Sabo of Florham Park, N.J., Ed and wife, Margaret Sabo of Franklin, Mike and wife, Virginia Sabo of Hanover, Pa., and Bill and wife, Kirstin Sabo of Wantage. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, 12 grand-nieces and nephews and nine great-grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held July 12 at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin, followed by burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA (aspca.org/donate).
