Lounsberry Hollow students’ artwork featured at Board of Education
Vernon. Artwork by Vernon Township Lounsberry Hollow School students, selected by art teacher Mr. Villanueva, is on display at the Vernon Township Board of Education building throughout January, highlighting projects inspired by kinetic art, pop art, African masks, and conceptual art.
Vernon Township’s Lounsberry Hollow School art teacher, Mr. Villanueva, has selected artwork by the following students to be displayed at the Vernon Township Board of Education building for the month of January.
Fourth-grade students Kaidyn Kahlert, Jasmine Cespedes Mendez, Charles Lach and Jayden Rivera had their paper alien puppets selected after learning about kinetic art. Makenna Lee, McKenna Castronova, Keeva Lynch and Gemma Decandia had their self-portrait memes selected after studying Roy Lichtenstein and modern pop art.
Fifth-graders Gia Bracchi, Eva Solej, Colsen Artress and Charlotte Schreiner had their three-dimensional masks chosen following a unit on African and tribal-style masks and the use of natural found objects. Salvatore Guccione, Gabriella Smith, Peter Lach and Andi Berisha had their deconstructed mind maps chosen after learning about conceptual art.
